Hi - In case you haven't gotten the info you need: The 1920, 1910, 1900, 1880 Federal censuses are indexed by SOUNDEX. Are you familiar with the National Archives site? http://www.nara.gov --then go to the Genealogy Page. Tells all about the available microfilm, and how to use the Soundex generator: Eiland, for example, is E453. There is also a mail rental program available so that you can rent both the Soundex rolls and the census rolls themselves, no matter where you live. No, the 1890 census is gone, BUT-- there is a little-known 1885 Special Federal Census for Florida. If I remember right, there is a recently published index to it. Hope this helps.
