Hello Barbara,
My Great Grandmother was Ellen Louise Borge b.2-11-1873 d.5-16-1906 (mercury poisoning). Married Cyrille Louie Roy 6-2-1890 in Skowhegan, Maine. She was from Auburn,NY. One of the witness's at the wedding was a Mrs. Elizabeth Borge. I don't know if that was her mother or possibly a sister-in-law. This information comes from Cyrille & Ellens bible. We are at a dead end with researching either family beyond this point because both Cyrille and Ellen died young and their children went to an orphanage. My grandfather, Edward C.Roy had a brother who lived in Florida, Joseph Calixe Amedie Roy. I understand he just went by Amedie. I would love to Know more about Ellen Borge if you find anything else out or if you run across any thing on Amedie. GOOD LUCK!!!
