LEONARD RAY GIBSON Resident of: Skidaway Island, Georgia Died: Feb. 10, 2004 at his home Born: July 30, 1916, in Camp Walton, Florida to parents, Silas GIBSON and Alma MONAHAN GIBSON, early settlers of the Wright community. It is said that Silas GIBSON moved to the Camp Walton area in 1916 from Canada and started a dairy farm in Wright. Ray GIBSON was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Bob, Billy, Cyrus, Jack and Lloyd; and by his sister, Donna. He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Julienne MOORE GIBSON; his daughter and her husband, Candace and Fred BICKEL of Lake Wylie, S.C.; his son and his wife, Sterling and Krista GIBSON of Allen, Texas; and by his two grandchildren, Justin and Zachary; as well as many nieces and nephews. In his lifetime, Ray GIBSON was a graduate of Auburn University, an Army Air Corps pilot and flight instructor, a real estate broker in California and a real estate broker developer in Fort Walton Beach. Mr. Gibson was buried in Brooks Cemetery, Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Notify Administrator about this message?
