Update for those Okaloosa folks who ordered the Walton County Heritage Book and have questions about a publication date:
We are happy to announce that ALL the initial proof sheets have been returned to the typesetter as of today. We will get the finished proofs sheets again after their edits for the purpose of double-checking their corrections! Our final step will be highlighting the surnames for the index. We would like to say we are on the verge of publications, but we cannot skip any of these steps. Once we have finished our part, it's out of our hands. The consultant will plug us into a print schedule, and of course, we hope it will be as soon as possible. Sorry that we can not commit to a specific date.
FYI: In addition to the family section, the topical section includes the following categories:
Walton County History, Historical Places, Communities, Medical Heritage, Military Heritage, Educational Heritage, Clubs and Organizations, Boating and Freighting on Rivers and Bays, Spiritual Heritage, Cemeteries, and Businesses.
