Great news! Okaloosa is starting a second book! Submission deadline has been extended; you have till 31 March 2007 to get your stories in. For more info: http://www.rootsweb.com/~flbbm/hbook2.htm

Also in this volume we are seeking to identify little-known communities within the county. If you know the location, history or some small tidbit about a bygone still; whistle stop; logging, turpintine or cow camp that was named or appeared briefly on a map, please write me. Communnities that were mentioned in newspapers or on census records are important as well. Click on my name, above for e-mail address. Thanks!
