Mary,

Mellonville was the name of Sanford, FL before it became Sanford. Sanford is located about 20 miles north of Orlando on the shores of Lake Monroe which is part of the St. Johns river. Up until 1913, Sanford was part of Orange Co., FL. In 1913 Orange Co. was split into two counties, Orange & Seminole. Seminole Co. includes Sanford, Longwood, Altamonte Springs, and several smaller towns.

I was born in Sanford and live in Orlando now.

I hope that info helps you.

Bill
