Hugh H. McClure was born in Georgia about 1851. He married 5 June 1879 in Orange County, FL, to Alice F. Taylor (who was born about 1862 in either FL or GA).
Mr. McClure originally planted oranges here. But, by 1887, he had established a saloon & billiard room on Central Avenue in Apopka. He was known for the orange wine he produced and served there.
I know of one son:
George W. McClure (28 Feb 1888 - 20 Nov 1924), who never married.
