I live in what was the Midway precinct and I live 7 miles ESE of Chipley. Midway School was about one mile west of me. The school ceased operation in the early 1950's. The church that used the Midway name changed its name a few years later. Nothing is left in the area to identify Midway. Chipley was its own precinct and, judging from names on the census in the Midway precinct, must have joined the Chipley and Alma precincts. I saw a map showing the precints but don't remember where it was located.

Hope this helps.

Whit
