Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I have found in my research that Flahavan, Flahavin, Flaven, Flavan, Flavin, et al, are very common and appear in several western counties in Ireland. Likewise, they appear to have emigrated to Canada, US, England, Australia, New Zealand and probably elsewhere! Don't get tunnel-vision when doing your research... check everything. By the way, thanks to John Flavin of Ireland for a great explanation of the name.
