Dear Mary,
My name is Sean Murphy and I live in Co. Mayo, Ireland.
My Mother's maiden name is Flahive. She comes from a town called Ballyheige in county Kerry. As far as I know there are very few Flahives left there or indeed anywhere in Ireland. In fact I was surprised to find any reference to Flahives when I entered a websearch for it.
I will mention your question to my mother.
