I just found the marriage of John Flahive of town of Dingle to Mary Lynch of Kilfountain. His father was John Flahive, farmer and hers, Michael Lynch, farmer. Witneses were William Moran and John Flahive. Date was 04-02-1868.
Another one, Catherine Flahive spinster of town of Dingle married to William Moran. Her father John Flahive, farmer and his Denis Moran, farmer. Witneses were John Flahive and John Moran. Date was 17-02-1867. They were from Dingle Marriages, Civil Registration, Dingle Registrar's Distric 1864-1870. Now the interesting question is whether
John's wife's name was Catherine (the same as the daughter's).
When I was at the library and archives in Dublin, they showed me that one of the John Flahives in Kerry was from Dingle but I didn't find any Flahives in the marriages for that date range. But the quality of the tape was very poor
and hard to read. And I didn't spend a lot of time searching on that lead.
If this should work out, my John and Catherine would be different from yours so we probably wouldn't be related.
The town of Dingle is southwest of Annascaul where your John and Catherine lived. I am cautiously optimistic.
Hope that all is going well for you,
