Flahive Family Genealogy Forum

Just a little info regarding Flahives. My Employer is a Flahive, and I found Genealogy.com in an attempt to find-out if my family name (Fahey) might be a derivative of 'Flahive', or vice versa. The jury is still out, lol. At any rate, the Flahives whom I know are located in southeastern Wisconsin. There are quite a few of them. The Patriarch (Richard L.) immigrated to North Carolina in the USA from Belfast, around 1950 (still living). A brother, who had also immigrated to NC was killed in Viet Nam and his five children were taken-in by Richard L., along with his own six children. Just imagine! Anyway, they're all successful and have been fruitful and multiplied. Any help in determining if there's a connection between the 'Fahey' and 'Flahive' names would be appreciated. BTW, my own Father, James Fahey, just passed away in February at age 87; he was the last of his siblings. They all grew-up in the Chicago area. I have a little knowledge of the family history if anyone is interested.
