It may be of interest, but in researching the O'Briens at Flemingstown, near Annascaul, Ballinvoher, the Tithe Applotment survey of 1825 shows at Flemingstown West as joint tenants in 1825, a Michael Flahive and a Patrick O'Brien. The survey describes the land quality as 42.0.5 acres of 1st quality, with grazing of 4th quality on the mountain of 46.3.0 acres. The land was valued for tithes at one pound seven shillings and sixpence. The owner of the fee is given as Archdeacon Thomas Grace as incumbent of said parish of Ballinvoher.
O'Briens continue to farm at Flemingstown to this day, and Landers continue to live directly across the valley from Flemingstown at Ballinahunt.
Does anyone have information about the O'Briens at Flemingstown, near Annscaul, Ballinvoher?
