There was a John Flahive in Tiduff, Ballyheigue, Kerry County in the Griffiths Valuation of about 1852. Church records are not available for baptisms until about 4 years later. Does anyone know the name of his wife of that time? He may be the John Flahive of Tiduff who married a Johanna Hussey of Kerry Head, Tiduff on 23 Jan 1864. She was about 11 years younger according to 1911 census. They had several children. This could be a second marriage for him. Flahives were present in Kerry Head for some time. Just got back from a week in Dublin attending an International Statistics Conference at the Conference Center with 2,300 other statisticians from all over the world. This was one of the sites where Queen Elizabeth spoke earlier during her visit to Ireland. Did get to visit with genealogists from the National Archives and the National Library during my week in Dublin. Thanks, Larry Nelson Notify Administrator about this message?
