I have a family history from my grandmother only hers starts with:

Adam Flake Bruce born in Switerland - 1750 married Elizabeth Stuff born in Germany - 1763. They migrated to Pennsylvania, then to Cincinnati, Ohio, then to Indiana Territory in 1796. Their son Amor Bruce married, Catherine Flake who came to Dearborn County from Kentuck in 1798.

My grandmothers line continues with Isaac Bruce and Juliann Ferrand, Smith, Klingelhoffer, Lusk.

I am looking for veriication on Adam Flake or Adam Flake Bruce....why the history was written different from what I am finding and if Flake and Bruce were related before 1750.

Any info would be welcome
