Hi Carol,

Sorry I took so long. I forgot where I had filed the book. William Jordan Flake who settled Snowflake was born 3 July 1839. His oldest two children are:
James Madison Flake born 8 Nov 1859, and
William Melvin born 20 Jan 1861 and lived only 2 months.

So George Washington Flake would be of the generation of these children. However there is no such child listed for this family.
The next possibility is that he could be a cousin of these children. However if my memory serves William Jordan had only one brother who never had children. I have another source that could check this and also the possibility of another generation back but I do not have time to check it right now.

More Later,

Len
