Hello,

I have an ancestor Al Hammond. His family came from vermont and possible MA before that. I remember runnign across somewhere that there were Flakes in MA about the same time as his family was there (before and after 1700). Flake is a popular given name in our family and has been used and passed down repeatedly. My family also has a habit of using the wife's maiden name for children's given names.

Does anyone know of Flakes that were in MA around 1700. Especially in Middlesex Co. in the Watertown region?
