I have yet to see any evidence. I know that the Robert Flake family in Virginia has been well researched, but I haven't seen anything that links our Samuel to them. I will await sources or documentation on that. I also have never seen any documentation that our Samuel was born in 1701 or that he ever had a wife Agatha. It still seems unlikely to me that a 97 year old man would be getting land grants (17 April 1798.) So until someone tells us where these assertions came from, they remain family lore.
