I would like to know what record besides was referenced that proves who the father of Samuel Flake was. I live in Anson County NC & recently visited the gravesite of Samuel Flake which is surrounded by purple periwinkle flowers. Within the last few months a member of the Flake Family erected a Flake Family Cemetery Sign at the dirt road
leading to the Flake gravesite. If you've never been I hope you will make plans to visit the area if you don't mind walking about one mile through the woods to get to the site
