Hello, I come from far down the descendant line of Flakes, I don't even carry the name and wouldnt even know that Flake part of my heritage exsisted if it weren't for My late Grandfather Jack Burns, who made it a point that all his grandchildern knew the story of of Lucy and Jordan Flake and Jordan's second, and thier life story. He even bestoyed apon me the Journal writings Of Lucy. Which I consider my most prised possesion. One of my first memories of my Grandfather is asking him who the man was in the picture with the long beard and in the stripes, and that was when I first learned the legacey of the Flake Family. The only thing is I lived in San Diego California and my father's family lived in Tucson. So stories were always cut short, and my grandfather and I never got passed the stories of Lucy and Jordan. Except he did tell me about one of the Slaves Green Flake and his story. But I would love to know more about the family, previous to Lucy and Jordan and after all the way to the Present. I do read the Flake round-up but I have no idea who the people are that they are talking about. All the information you could share with me would be much appreicated.

Thanks Candace Burns
Of San Diego
