I'm sure we have a match but I too am looking for parents, etc. of David Flandreau. (dates fit) He and Emma were my gg grandparents. Melissa and Charles Bachant were my g grandparents. Their daughter was my grandmother, Laura (Bachant) Vandervliet b. 1876 d. 1960 in Passaic, NJ. She had two brothers, David and Frank Bachant. ( I am aware Charles died and Melissa remarried a Joseph Charette. My late father left a record showing David Flandreau was injured in the Civil War in the 2nd. battle of Bull Run and belonged to the 97th regiment New York Highlanders The "Zuares or Zuaves" ?? He died of his injuries and was buried in Washington DC. I have not checked any military records so its possible the burial was in Philadelphia and not in DC. Do you know this for a fact? Thanks for the update. Priscilla
