Along with the Irving who was likely Alexander's brother, I have record of another Irving Flandreau.
1850 census of New Rochelle, Westchester County, New York, page 185 [p369]:
dwelling 314, family 388
Elijah Clark, 46, male, Farmer, $13000 in real estate, born in New York
Octavia A. Clark, 40, female, born in New York
David P. Clark, 14, male, born in New York, attended school during year
Josephine A. Clark, 13, female, born in New York, attended school during year
Susan Flandreau, 47, female, born in New York
Irving Flandreau, 15, male, born in New York, attended school during year
Seth Washburn, 50, male, Laborer, born in New York
Julia King, 16, female, born in Ireland
Susan Flandreau is again shown in the Clark household in 1860, but Irving is no longer there. She listes her profession as Domestic. I don't think I've established her relationship to the Clark family -- she might be their maid, or she might be just living in their house, possibly as a sister of Elijah or Octavia.
At any rate, that's another Irving Flandreau out there in the world.
