I'm tickled that people appreciate the little tidbits I'vw managed to accumulate. I don't really know all that much -- I've just managed to pull together a lot of different sources.

At any rate, David couldn't be Thomas M. Flandrau's son, as they were only born a few years apart, Thomas in 1826 and David in 1830. David has been a tough nut to crack, but I'm going to keep watching for clues.
