Is this William who lived in Franklin Cy, GA in the late 1700s and early 1800s? I have a William and Mary (Polly was a nickname for Mary) who had a son George and a daughter Lucy. There could have been (probably were) other kids, but they haven't been found yet. If my guys are your guys, Lucy m Elijah Stephens, and they had 3 children. I found an article about their son, Elijah Blueford Stephens, in the library at Anniston, AL (I believe), and it mentioned them.

We've been looking for proof of William's Rev War svc for a while. If this is the same, William, I'd be pleased to know your source, and to send you a copy of the article, as soon as I can find it in what we laughingly call my files.
