Off hand I can't remember where I found Roscommon, but I remember that many Flanigans (spelled with the i) came from that area and that there was a Lord Flanigan. I concur with what you said about the Nova Scotia and it seems possible. I thought that perhaps he landed in MA and then went to Vermont and then to Cohoes (Watervliet-West Troy). I speak to a distant cousin who still lives in the area and she has been helpful about many things. A. Lincoln and Stephen both worked on Green Island around 1890. I would really appreciate any info you can provide from Mark's great aunt re Stephen (what is Mark's great Aunt's name and how was she related, if I may ask?) Perhaps we can email direct - tmflanigan2@sbcglobal.net. Thanks again, Heidi (Are you from German heritage? I am)
