I, too, have Staab and Kunkel in my ancestry in Heigebruecken. Moving from more recent to earlier (all events Heigenbruecken except where noted):

Bartholomeus Staab b. 24 Aug 1854, d. abt 1830 near Cincinnati, Hamilton Co, OH s/o Michael Staab and Sophie Lipper d/o Valentin Lippert, m. Justina Merz 21 Mar 1871 Cincinnati, she b. 22 Dec 1841, d. 18 Dec 1889 Newport, Campbell Co, KY, she d/o Anton Merz and Margaretha Staab (birth surname), m. 21 Mar 1871 Cincinnati

Anton Merz b. 10 Dec 1801, s/o Sebastian Merz and Franziska Kunkel, m. Margaretha Staab 22 Feb 1827 with dispensation from the hindrance of third grade, she b. 16 Apr 1804 d/o Johann Staab (1758-1828) and Maria Anna Bachmann (1766-1826)

Margaretha Staab had a brother named Frank Anton Staab who married Susanna Englert and had a daughter named Rosina who married Aloois Staab s/o Johann Alois Staab and Martha Staab (birth surname). His ancestry includes surnames Englert Kunkel and Flecknstein as well as Staab on both sides!

Do we connect anywhere? I'm particularly interested in the ancestry of Maria Anna Bachman, Johann Englert and Maria Catherine Kunkel. Thanks so much.
