I had a cousin Fred Fleckenstein who lived during his younger days in Baltimore. He was a little older than me so I suspect he would have been born somewhat before the 1930 date you mentioned. Fred had red hair and loved playing with model airplanes. He worked for Glenn L. Martin Co. in the 1950's and later transferred with the company to Colorado where he died. I met his charming wife but I never knew her maiden name. Fred's father was my uncle Fred but my uncle was born in Germany around 1880. So, I am not certain that we are speaking of the same man?
