I first read about the German Catholic Brotherhood of Philadelphia and Baltimore in "The History of McKean, Elk, Cameron and Potter Counties" by J.H. Beers 1890. Some of these people settled in the St. Marys area of Elk County and later north to Jones Township, Elk County in a place which I think was called Williamsville, later it was renamed Rasselas. The Elk County Historical Society in Ridgway, PA has some information on them, but I don't know how much. Check and see if you can find a copy of the Beers book at your local library, if not , I know they have a copy at mine. If you need me to I could make copies of those pages and send them to you.
E-mail me at if you need me to send you the pages. I don't have a scanner so I will have to send them by mail.
I could look through my notes and see if I can find any other people who researching the Fleckensteins. Let me know if you would be interested in contacting them.
