Bill,
It's through the Obenrader and Wanks. My great-grandfather Clemence Wank was Godfrey's son. Two of his sisters married Tom Obenrader son of Regina Fleckenstein Obenrader. Tom and Mary's son Walter Obenrader adopted Donna Walburn, when at two years of age , she lost her mother, Viola Wank Walburn, Clemence's daughter. Tom and Clara adopted some of Rose Wanks grandchildren when their mother died.
The families seemed very close and I thought there was a connection from the old country. I had found no Obenraders in that area of Bavaria, but did find Fleckensteins, and wondered if that is where the connection lies.
Paula
