My mother's father was Garfield Hayes Fleet, from Ecum Secum, Nova Scotia. He married Laura Evelyn Marks on May 14, 1912 in Ship Harbour, Nova Scotia. Garfield had two brothers, Timothy and Reuben, and I believe two sisters who died early in life. My mother just passed away, and I am eagerly trying to find out my heritage.

I believe Garfield's parents were Henry Fleet and Lavina Publicover, but I am not sure. I am just starting research. If anyone can help, it would be very much appreciated.
