The name of William Fleet recently popped up in my research and I was very pleased to read more about him in your post. I have Elizabeth Sink marriage to William Fleet
in Franklin County,VA on 10-29-1818. They apparently lived in the area for several years, had children there, then moved to Dickson County. William may have been married previously as there is a son,William B.,born about 1815 according to the 1860 census;Elizabeth, age 70(?), was living with his family in 1860. The census also lists
John G. Fleet and W.D.Fleet living in the immediate area.
In the 1850 census, Elizabeth is living with (married to?) John Fleet,Sr.in Hardeman County. My thinking is that when William died or divorced Elizabeth, she moved in with his younger brother. Actually all this is not my main interest; I'm really looking for the family of Elizabeth.
