Elaine, that is what myself,Leah Perna, & my aunt, Wanda Todd have been trying to figure out. I do think we are related to Eric's Fleet line, the question is how?
My GGgrandmother Delia Fleet, was shown as 12 yrs. old in 1870 Laclede Co., Smith TWP., MO. Census, as living with the Caswell Craddock family. On same census, her sister, Alice, age 13 at the time, was living with the William Frank family, & their brother, Eli {or Ely} Allen Fleet was in same census living with the Eli Rippy famly. Alice & Eli were supposedly born in MO., & Delia in TN. We are trying to find out why these kids were living with separate families on this census. We cannot find any info. on their parents. - that is our needle in the haystack. The kids' surname of Fleet, was never changed {until they married later in life.}. Also, these Fleet kids HAVE to be on an 1860 Census somewhere. Alice was b. 1856/1857, Delia, b. 1857/1858, & Eli, b. 1858/1859.
NOTE: My Eli Allen Fleet is buried in Clinton Cemetery, Hunt Co., TX. {shows E.A. Fleet, died 1904. I also have listing of Carter Gibson Fleet {shown as C. G. Fleet} leet},w/his wife & son - buried in a Hunt Co., TX. cem.} &, I have another set of Carter Gibson Fleet's relatives in another listing in a Hunt Co., TX. cem. Carter Gibson Fleet & these other Fleets ARE DEFINITELY Eric's people. {I verified it with him.}{This info. was sent to me through regular mail, from the Library in Hunt Co., Greenville, TX.
