My branch of the Fleetons (mother) originated in Ballinderry Co Antrim N Ireland and there were several relatives called Fleeting. I believe my Grandfather (Samuel Fleeton) had a cousin called Rafe (Ralph).
Samuel was born in 1879 in Ballinderry and may have have been born "out of wedlock" to Mary Fleeton.
He died in 1941.
Ralph Fleeton died in 1934 and Ralph seems to be a popular Fleeting name just as William seems to be a popular Fleeton name.
Remember spelling wasn't much of a priority in the 1800s!
There was a Ralph Fleeting in Ballinderry who was married to Elizabeth Elliot in 1809.
Elizabeth was also a popular Fleeton name after that but it was also a very popular name amongst "Orange people".
Perhaps Elzie is a derivative of Elizabeth?
Try checking the 1851 cesus of Antrim for more Fleetings.
Regards
Bill
