Fleischer in Wisconsin

I am trying to trace down information on Frederick Fleischer, who was born in 1855 in Wisconsin.

He lived in Chicago, where I have found him on the census for 1900, 1920, etc.

I traced down a Civil War soldier who fought for the Union out of Wisconsin by the name of Frederick Fleischer. He mustered into the 15th Infantry, A Co as a Corporal.... I discovered that at the time he mustered, he actually resided in Chicago..

I suppose this is the father of the Frederick Fleischer (born in 1855) that I have confirmed as an ancestor.

Any help in narrowing down the connections would be appreciated.
