Concerns regarding Moler/Fletchall records
I must admit that I have not worked very many of the records for this family line.I do have that Samantha Jane died in Decatur, KS in 1911, but nothing for Park P.Admit I should do some more research on this line.
I recently noted some unidentified Moler/Fletchall records in the transcribed online Missouri Birth & Death Records Database.First of all, these records appear to have been poorly transcribed with spelling errors (i.e. Song for Long, W for M, and dates are questionable). The duplicate records are very confusing and differ only slightly.
My records show that Samantha Jane Fletchall married Phillip Park (also Park P.)Moler in Worth Co., MO 18 Oct 1885.Some earlier Fletchall histories have that she married a Franklin Moler--I have never agreed with this since marriage records, census more or less confirms that she married Park P.Moler.
However, now I find on the above mentioned MO Birth Records the birth of a 3rd born child (10/28/1892) to FRANKLIN MOLER and ELIZA A. FLETCHALL.Eliza was age 29 (b.c. 1863). In a brief search, I have not found this Franklin Moler household in a 1900 census, nor have I been able to clearly identify who Eliza A. Fletchall belonged to, nor have I found a Franklin Moler born in Kansas.CLEARLY, for "some reason" the earlier Fletchall family histories had also found reference to a "Franklin Moler", but married to Samantha.
The same databased record has the birth of a child (Anna Laura) on 9/24/1891 to Park P. Molar and Samantha J. Fletchall.Looks to me like two different families.
Does anyone have any answers to this?
