Judy - Yes, William Fletcher, b. 1645, was an apprentice barber-surgeon. I was interested to see St. Paul's, Bedfordshire, as the birthplace you have unearthed, because I believe it was unusual for someone to apprentice very far from home.I had been assuming that because John Fisher lived in St. Giles Cripplegate parish in London, that William Fletcher came from nearby. But if we can find the records, then we'll know more.Typically, these records consisted of the names and parishes of the parents or guardians, the master, the apprentice, the terms of the apprenticeship, and how much money (or other goods) was paid to the master to take the apprentice. On what information are you basing the assignment of Henry Fletcher as William Fletcher's father? Thanks! - Nancy Korendyke
