My (GGG?) Grandfathers name was Daniel Flickinger but we are from Livingston County, NY. He was born 1/16/1817 Died 1/20/1892. Father was George Flickinger. Some time during this period, the name was shortened to Flickner. Starting with Emily Flickner, b 8/28/1857. Her father was Wallace, Warren. His first daughter still went by Flickinger though. Ann Flickinger was born 5/26/1844. Her mom was Cook, Angeline. (The change in the names has me up in the air.) Other names listed in the birth records are Alice,b1815;Bertha,b1878;George,b1867(father John);George,b1849(father Reuben);and Flora,b1878. Possible connection?
