I am doing research on the Flickingers who went west durng the gold rush but I don't think Louisa is in my line. Three of my Flickinger men went to the gold mines and eventually settled in Oregon. It kindof sounds like Louisa's father is deceased when she marries and that her mother was living with her brother--doesn't it? The Philip Flickinger in El Dorado sounds like a good bet to follow up on. Maybe post on that board for a census lookup to see who else was living with him in 1850
