I have a nice photo of Edna D. Flickinger, dated 1908 in Woodward, OK. She appears to be about 18 at the time of the portrait. I did a little research online and think she appears in the 1900 US Federal census, age 9, living in Edmond Oklahoma with her parents Thomas and Jennie, and her siblings Earl and Elsie.
I can't find her in the 1910 census (possibly married), but her brother, sister and mother were by then living in Woodward.
I found Edna's photo in an antique store in Anthony, Texas and bought it for $5, because I can't bear to see old treasures lost from their families.
Also, I'm repaying a karmic debt, because, a few months ago, some kind strangers found a rare photo of my grandparents and father in a junk stop in Spokane and sent it to me.
Is there anyone out there who recognizes Edna as an ancestor? I would love to send her home!
