I do have your John James in my database as being married to Mary Bevelheimer (daughter of George).
As far as who his parents were, I'm still at a "standstill". He would definitely fit into the timeframe for being one of Jacob and Catharina's children, however there is NO baptism for him found in the Egypt Church records.
I've recently accessed the "Flickinger Family History", by Robert Elliott Flickinger (1927) at HeritageQuest Online. The only new info I found was that there was a Christian Flickinger (1756-1816 - oldest son of Peter)), who served in the Rev. War. He COULD be the "Christ.Flickener" found on the 1810 Conneaut Twp., Crawford Co., PA Census.
