I have found 3 Catherine Flickingers. One was born in 1803 probably in Fairhope Pa (which is only a few miles from Cumberland Md). Her father was Jacob Derr (Dare) Flickinger 1758-1820, and Susan Witt 1763-1840. My source has this Catherine marrying Charles Bennett, however. Susan Witt is reported to have died in Smithville, Wayne Co OH suggesting that at least one of her children moved to Ohio.

A second Catherine Flickinger of almost the same age was living in Somerset Co Pa with her children (but no husband) in 1850. She was 44 years old at that time.

I don't know if either of these 2 is the right one for you (the 3rd was born in 1840). I have more information about both of their families
