I am beginning to search for the name of John Flickinger in Huntingdon County, PA, because of great grandfather was named John Flickinger Wasson. My father was also given the middle name of Flickinger. I cannot find the Flickinger name anywhere else in the family line, unless it could be on the mother's side of my great great grandmother. Or perhaps, Flickingers emigrated from Ireland at the same time my great great grandfather, John Wasson, did. If you find any information about Flickingers dating to around 1838-1840, I would love to know it.
