John Fligg, Clark Twp, Durham County, Ontario, Canada

On John Fligg appears on the 1861 Census Index for Durham West (County) as being a yeoman, age 56 and is married to Margaret, age 46. I have search the marriage records for the Newcastle District which goes to 1854 and the Home District which goes to 1857 and did not find a marriage for John Fligg. Margaret could possibly be a Margaret Shaw who was widowed on the 1851 Census. A Margaret Fligg, age 56, appears on the 1871 Census in the village of Orangeville, Wellington County, as a widow living with Eliza Shaw, daughter of the Margaret Shaw who appeared on the 1851 Census. I would like proof of the marriage to solve this mystery?
There is a burial in Bethel Methodist Cemetery, Clark Township, for a John Fligg, who died Sept.22, 1894, aged 59 years. This is most likely the John Fligg in question?
Any help with the marriage would be appreciated.
Thanks, Charlie
