Although not related to your branch I have researched in depth Flindall and all variants for some years now. I believe that your Robert Flindell b 1837, was the son of Thomas Flindell b 1800ca Bloomsbury, England, married to Sarah Ives 13.2.1827 Westminster St Ann Soho, their children being: Maria 1830, Thomas Valentine 1832, William 1834, Mary Ann 1836, Robert 1837, Louisa 1840, Martha & Sophia twins 1843 and Henry 1848 all christened at St Pancras Old Church apart from Henry for whom the IGI doesn't list, although the 1881 census confirms his birthplace as St Pancras. If I can help please E mail me. My own branch is stuck at Joshua Flindall b 1785ca died 1840 Bethnal Green, he was a stationer, the father of Joshua Stephen Flindall printer, my 3 times great grandfather. I have a possible candidate Joshaway Flindall c 1778 in Hertingfordbury, Herts.
