For some reason my email of 22 April was not posted.

I have been looking for the parents of Thomas Flindal (Flindell) (abt 1734-1797) who at his marriage to Alice Williams at Manaccan, Cornwall, UK was described as a sojourner. Family lore has it that his parents were Thomas and Mary, although I have not been able to validate this. I note from Parloc that Northaw is in north east London. Their grand children (my great great grandfather and his siblings) appeared to have a strong connection with this area.

You may be intertested in my findings and review of the origin of the name on in the genealogy section.
