Appreciate this is a bit late but have only just come across the forum.
I have a copy of the Douglas family tree in very poor condition but it does go back to John Douglas a brewer in St Andrews in the 1700's. The family mostly lived in Dairsie which is near Cupar, Fife. John Douglas had a son also John Douglas who in turn a family of 10 children. One was Cecilia born in 1810, married in 1831 and died in 1904.
You may have already found this out but if not let me know if you want more detail.
