Flippen, Atlas, VA

I am looking for the Flippen family that used the Atlas, VA post office around the time of the Spanish American war. William T. Flippen's son, Charles Christopher Flippen gave his father's name as his next of kin on his enlistment papers, and indicated he was from Atlas, VA. I've found the location on an 1895 Rand McNally Map but no latitude/logitude to help me with the location. It appears to be northeast of Ringgold, VA, near the Pittsylvania/Halifax County border.

Thank you for your help.
