To Ron and anyone else interested in the Levi Flora family,
I have pictures of the Levi Flora family. It has written on the back all the names and dates of birth of Levi and Elma Dexter's children. It was taken in 1907 and presented to his neice Lulu Nichols. I also have a picture of Asbury Flora and his wife taken in Great Bend, Kansas, but Chase, Kansas is written on the back. I also have a photo of a woman. On the back is written the following: Uncle Levi Floras...Katie Mars Levis first wife 11 yr." I am not sure if that means he was married to her 11 years or that she is 11 years old. She looks to be a young woman in the picture and has intricately curled hair. I also have a picture of an elderly woman labeled on the back as "Grandmother Flora Lulu's mothers mother." It has taken me a while to figure out that we are not related to the Flora's by blood. My husband's grandfather, David Vinzant was married twice. His second wife was named Susan Weaver. When David died, Susan remarried to a widower named Abraham Linebaugh. Abraham's first wife was Sarah Flora, Levi's sister. Lulu was Sarah and Abraham's daughter. She married a Nichols. Marticha Flora married a man named Rufus Ellsworth. She is also Levi's sister. Marticha and Rufus lived in Nodaway county, Missouri. They had children. I have a death certificate (a copy off the internet) of one of their sons, Edward, who killed himself. I would be glad to send the dates of Levi's children or scan the pictures and send them to anyone who would like to see them. I can also direct you to the death certificate I mentioned. It is free off the internet.
