Hi -- My main interest is Joseph Flora alias Trim/m as he married into my line. Joseph born abt 1844 Canada married Julia Ann (Havens) Furness Carter about 1865-1869. They had 1 known child: Josephine "Josie" Flora born abt 1867 in Oswegatchie, St. Lawrence Co., NY. They can be found as Flore in the 1870 Alexandria, Jefferson Co., NY census, along with an Olive Flore, age 60, born Canada and Josephine, plus 2 other children from Julia's previous marriage. They must have divorced by 1880 as Julia Floria was back in Oswegatchie and Joseph Flory is found in Champion, Jefferson Co., NY with wife Mary and several children, including his mother Olive Flory, age 70, born Canada. Joseph Flora died in 1916 in Stanley, Chippewa Co., WI.

The Felix family is not of my line but I believe that Felix and Joseph were the children of Felix Flora and Olive Storey/Story. A Felix Florah and Felix Flora are found in the 1850 & 1860 Madrid, St. Lawrence co., NY. It appears Felix enlisted in the Civil War in the 60 NY Infantry. I think he may also have enlisted as Felix Trim. Felix Flora's Civil War Pension Record have quite a bit of information. Including:

Declaration for Pension - dated 5 July 1910

Description: 5 feet 7 inches, dark complexion, black eyes, black hair, occupation laborer that he was born 11th June 1848, Bangor, state of Maine
Places of residence since leaving service: Ogdensburg, Evans Mills both in NY State and Brockville Ontario.

That I was well acquainted with the said Felix Flora and attended him from time to time. 2. That she is 74 years of age and born Aug. 8, 1848 Vankleek Hill, township of Hawkestring, county of Prescott and that her post office is 323 Park Street, Brockville

Married to said soldier Jan. 7, 1873 at Hammond NY by Reverend Libby

I hope this helps your research.
