Albright Flory Revisited
Posted by: Ken Florey Date: January 30, 2001 at 09:09:43

There have been several postings to this site requesting information about the parents of Albright Florey. This matter is brought up in a study published by Gladys Donson and Lawrence Athy entitled "The Thomas Flora Family of London, Maryland, and Virginia" that, unfortunately, is now out of print. Donson affiliates him with Thomas Flora, an indentured servant born in London in 1702 and transported here in 1720. Thomas had many descendants here who do not appear in Bunderman's study on the Flory families in the United States. At any rate, she believes that Albright could be the younger son of Thomas the immigrant, but "it is more likely that he is Thomas' grandson, possibly the son of Isaac."
